Lava Burning Series

What is the Lava Burning Series?

The Lava Burning Series is the most realistic gas log set available today. The four main logs are individually orificed and ported, allowing the fuel to flow out of the log, appearing as if the log were burning. GlowFire™ log technology also increases efficiency by using fewer BTUs and creating a fuller, more robust flame effect, while the ceramic refractory logs radiate more heat into the room than a traditional concrete gas log set. See full details here.

Can the Lava Burning Series be installed outdoors?

Yes, however, it can only be installed under a covered patio. Please reference the installation manual for the requirements for outdoor installation

What sizes are available in the Lava Burning Series?

Lava Rock is bigger; Lava Granules are 0.25-0.75” while the Lava Rock ranges from 0.5-1.”

Will I need to purchase any media for my burner and logs?

Most of our burner kits will include glowing black embers, lava rock, and, in some cases, vermiculite.

What are the twig sets for?

Twig sets are used to add another layer of logs to the setup. Alternatively, the twigs can conceal the components to the right and left of the burner or be placed on the fireplace floor as decoration.

Can I use the lava rock to conceal the components next to my burner?

No, the lava rock should not cover any of the components. Lava rock is strictly for decoration, to cover the hearth floor. Lava rock does not block the heat, and covering the components could cause them to be more exposed to the heat.
